Notes from Ms. Davis

It always seems a little odd to be planning for the next school year in February – but registration is now in full swing.  Please invite families who may be interested to join us at our Open House on the 16^th, and share our school website.  We love to give tours to prospective families as well. 

February is going to be a busy month, with many individual classroom activities.  Please read your class newsletter and check their bulletin boards regularly so you are in the know!

Love is in the air!  Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and students will be exchanging Valentine’s in the classroom.  Teachers will let you know how they will be handling the festivities/exchanges.  Send your little ones to school in valentine colors if possible!

Recycle!

ICCS is taking part in a recycling project for Girl Scout troop 756.  We are collecting empty glue bottles and glue sticks, as well as Capri Sun pouches.  The recycle box is in the school Resource room.

Fall Registration is Open

We are now taking enrollments for the 2012-2013 school year.  Registration forms may be downloaded from our website, or picked up from the bulletin board across from the school office.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Teachers will be communicating with you regarding when/how they will be offering Parent/Teacher conferences the first week of March.  County Kindergarten registration begins April 9^th. 

Community Helpers

We are scheduling visits from the Police and Fire Departments, a dental hygienist and a school bus driver.  Be watching for dates and times to be posted. 

The Fire Department is set to come on Feb. 14^th at 10:30 a.m.

Parent’s Committee Meeting

Wednesday, Feb. 1^st at 1 p.m.  We will be discussing a possible fundraiser as well as hosting a family night at the preschool.  All who are interested are welcome to attend and give their feedback!
