 February Newsletter   

Parents,

        This is one of my favorite times of the year.  It is a great time to show our friends how much we love them.  We will be exchanging Valentine's Day cards  in our classroom on Tuesday the 14^th.  The kids will enjoy a sweet treat while passing out their cards.  Check your child's folder for the list of classmates.  Please have your child sign his/her own name, then let your child "address" the card using the list of names.  This is a fun way to practice their handwriting skills.

         During our Bible Time this month, we will learn about The Good Samaritan and how we can help people in need. We will also talk about Jesus walking on water and how we can have courage in Him,  The Prodigal Son, a beautiful story of forgiveness and The Golden Rule.

         We will begin discussing Community Helpers.  We will have a "Post Office" set up in the classroom, so please send in notes to the class and we will put them in our mailbox.  I am sure you will be receiving alot of "mail" from your little ones.  Please work with your child on learning their address.  This is very important as we learn about mailing letters and calling 911.

         The letters we will be working on this month are: J, U and F.  We will continue working on cutting skills, sequencing and following multi- step directions.  The kids are really working hard on this.

         Please welcome our new student, Jamari Willis, to our classroom.  We look forward to getting to know him.

11:30  Bible time

11:45  Recess with sister class

12:15  Bathroom break and lunch

12:45  Free choice centers; clean-up
